A glass of our wine as the light turns gold, one long table set in the garden, plates that come from a hundred metres away. These are the evenings we open the estate for.
Eating in nature
Some evenings the kitchen doesn’t stop at the dining room door. We carry the tables out — into the olive grove, under the pergola, onto the grass while it still holds the day’s warmth — and set them for whoever wants to come.
What’s poured and plated is the estate itself: wine from our rows, oil pressed from these same trees, vegetables from the garden you walked past on the way in. Nothing travels further than the length of the land.
And because a long table does what a long table has always done, you’ll arrive as guests and leave having talked to strangers. That’s the point. We host these evenings for the conviviality that only happens outdoors, around food, in company.

Strangers sit down, friends stand up. One shared table in the garden, four Tuscan courses cooked to the day, carafes of our wine along the whole length of it. Dinner the way this land has always done it.

A slow country lunch in the green
Sunday, done properly. Tables in the shade of the garden, antipasti from the farm, hand-made pasta, a secondo from the fire — and the whole afternoon to let it settle, with the hills doing the talking.
